1971 a/c blower/fan

Hi there, how are you!
Is there a a/c blower/fan configuration that will replace the original
without much modification?
I read somewhere about the 1987 GMC van fan will fit, but I
don't have very clear if I have to change just the fan or also the
blower too.
I read also about restricting the air tubes to increase velocity,
did anybody did it?

Wilcox Corvette Parts (Wilcox Home Page) has info on a blower motor replacement that will blow more air. It comes with a different squirrel cage that is more efficient, and the motor is also bigger. It does require a 3/4" spacer between the motor flange and housing.

E you can also use a blower from a 85+ C-4. they have more vanes to push more air. you can find them on e-bay. the fan should fit, maybe a slight shim around the base.
