1971 Corvette Fiber Optics help?

Does anyone know where I should start my diagnosing of a friend's 1971 454 Vette's fiber optics system? These are the little lights that tell you that all the external bulbs are working.

Only one of them works, all the others are not working.

I would just do as complete of a visual inspection as you can, looking for cracked or broken lines. Check the ends to see if they are dirty. In the console, be very careful when you remove it- the fiber optic connections are held in place by a clip that will break if you don't pull it apart before removing the console. In fact, that can even be the problem, they could be laying there loose, not held in place in that area. I came across a repair article a few years ago, I will try to find it.
