1971 LT-1 on eBay

Well, I would say that the "But it Now" price seems pretty high. Looks like a Dealer- very vague, generic description. It kills me how they want almost $35,000 for the car, but they won't even spring for the $3.00 valve cover decal that's missing. You could do a lot better than that price-wise, IMHO.

I agree, I think the buy it now is a bit high. I was guessing somewhere between $25k-$28k would be fair, what do you think would be a fair price? It looks like a clean car. I found another one:

I agree. Way too high. Smog equip is missing, makes no mention of matching no's or documentation, and it looks like there's a vacuum issue (the wiper door is up). Caveat Emptor.

Which one has the vacuum issue, the white one (looks like it)? WHat would be a fair price for the 1971 numbers car. The owner did verify (by email) that it is a numbers car, and the white one says a numbers car. ALso, which one has the smog equipment missing?

As the white one appears to be owned by a private party, I would guess it can be had at a more reasonable price, and Raleigh is not too far from South Florida.

For a nice car that needs nothing mechanically or cosmetically to drive and enjoy, I'm guessing $23 to 25K or so. For a 71 coupe to be in the 30K range or greater I think it needs to be in show condition. That's just a guess.

Looks like both of the cars are missing the smog equipment (but hey,so is mine). The red car, in the engine pic, has the wiper door in the up position (why?). I think rainman is pretty close with his numbers for a coupe- my car is a convertible, and I would guess it to be worth $27-30,000.

Any Info?

Well, I sold the 70-LT-1 coupe last year and just had to get another one. Just bought the 71 Conv off of e-bay. Was a 5 time Top-Flight in the early 90's. I'd love to talk to the owner of that period. Anyone heard of Walter Berg from the NJ area, and know how I can get in touch with him? I'd like to get some info.

Thanks, in advance

$31,800....all numbers are right, 46,000 documented miles, needs nothing.
