I spotted a very nice 73 454 4spd. convertable & noticed that the front nose is not a seperate piece as my 76 is. Is this correct for the 73's or is a replacement or has someone grafted the nose piece to the fenders. I really like the way it looks, just wondering if they were all like that in 73. BTW what price range would a car like this be worth. Just looking I'd rate it as in very good condition.
Thanks in advance.

A very tempting effort no doubt done during a repaint. the downside of the integrated fiberglass piece is that a minor nose injury holds the promise of requiring major repair!

But front or rear, it makes for sleek lines and a great look. Too bad the technology didn't exist at the time to do it at the factory.

The value of a 73 BB convertible is whatever someone wants to pay for it.

It depends a huge amount on condition and originality, but I'd guess, given that this must be a pretty rare car, somewhere between $12k and $20k.

Anyone got any better info?

Info is a little light to make a fair evaluation. What type of equipment, mileage original paint/color, matching or nom. Your range of pricing is accurate. I've seen a really pedigree 73bb fully optioned go out in the high 20-low30's. you can always use Pro-Team, Rogers in Florida as a high side guesstimate. Get me more info and I think I can peg a price for you.

A big block convertible would be the most expensive '73. All would depend upon the condition of the car. That nose with the grafted bumper would deduct from the value. Would be anywhere from $12K to $28K, everything hangs on the condition and if all the numbers are correct and it has the original engine.
