1973 keys

does the alarm switch & door take the same key,i am missing my door & alarm keys,the lock smith said i need to take off the door lock so he can make a new key,i am trying not to,it is easier to take out the alarm tumbler.

On my '73, the same (square) key that opens the door is also for the ignition. The key for the anti-theft switch in the back is the round key.

I agree. The square key is the ignition and door key. The round key is the alarm, the storage compartment, and the spare tire lock.

They changed in '74. 73 was square for door and ignition. 74 had square for ignition and round for door.
