Ok... I finally got around to rebuilding my stock q-jet. I've had a gas-guzzling Holley 4175 on for about 8 months now, so you know I'm ready to switch! Problem is, I can't remember how all the emission/vacuum hoses got hooked up with the q-jet. I've also removed my EGR valve, and I don't have a PCV hook up as I replaced the stock valve covers and air cleaner. I know I'll be plugging some lines because of this but which ones??? Any good, detailed pictures would be appreciated, or if you're brave enough to try to talk me through it go ahead :)

Too funny, I just posted a near identical question for '71!

Look in your AIM or look in a Dr. REbuild catalog for some of the routing. Try downloading this PDF from Rebuild's catalog - it should help...

There should be one larger hose for the PCV/Evap perhaps on right side or front of carb near it's base... block it? Personally I think the PCV system is a pretty good thing to have to keep fumes down inside the engine itself...?

You'll need to find an appropriate port for your distributor advance of course.

Will the lack of EGR affect your OE carb's calibrations? It just might...?

good luck!
