1974 recall clearance?

I am currently in the process of importing my car to Canada. They are asking me for a recall clearance letter. Anybody have ANY idea who I can contact to get a clearance on a car thats 29 years old?? Thanks

I guess they want this to check and see that any past recalls have been taken care of. All I was told is that a recall clearance checks by VIN # . Other than that, I have NO idea either :duh

hmmm....interesting. I believe that with newer Corvettes you can take it to the dealer and they can plug the VIN into the system to check and see if there are any recall/service bulletin issues related to it, but I don't know if they can do that for an older Corvette. I'm not sure how you could get that information.

Can anyone else help?

Call Chevrolet at 800 222 1020 and ask for any recall bulletins or recall campaigns they might have, also explain your problem to them, they should help, I hope. Good Luck.>Save the Wave.>George
