My 1981 Corvette originally had a paper tag glued to the power brake booster - the residue from the missing tag is still there. I don't remember what letters/numbers were on the tag and nobody appears to make replacement ones. Does anyone have one on their car who can post a picture of what the sticker looks like? Much appreciated.

1st,Welcome to CAC
from the upstate!!!!!
they probably had the broadcast code YC on it .
there was a vendor in Carlisle a few years ago who was making repro labels.
I don't know if he is still going there but it might be worth the trip if you can find a copy of one.

When you get the chance, check out the L-81 registry, and register your '81 if you haven't done so yet!!!
Good luck

Thanks - would really like to see what the original one looks like as many "repro" items are not exact. BYW, my '81 is featured in Richard Prince's Current Restoration Guide 1968 - 1982. It's the Charcoal one with dark red velour interior. Yes, I did register the car in the Registry - thanks!

The NCRS Judging Guide says the label was a white square with a broadcast code of NR printed on it in block letters with the last digit of the year and Julian date below the broadcast code. The JG does not say what color was used for the characters.

Yes, I remember that - I made up a sticker that is identical with NR1 and it looks beautiful! It's amazing what you can do on a computer! After I trim off the top and bottom, I will clear coat the Booster (front and back) with a semi gloss clear before affixing it to the Brake Booster.

I left out the Julian Date Code - Corrected sticker:

After viewing the physical Brake booster, the following is the correct sticker and size for my 1981:

Took a little research and time, but well worth it!
