Look in the compartment behind the passenger seat on the front wall!!!!
you should find it there!!!

On the 82 the ECM is the metal box located in front of the battery.

Side story:
Battery just died on a trip and got her into the gas station that thankfully sold batteries.
The install was free.

However after 10 minutes, the poor confused mechanics came back and could not figure out where the battery was! The were scratching their head while looking under the hood. :L
