On a 1982 where is the fuel pump relay or fuse or whatever controls the fuel pump?

See your it just quit post

Seems like a lot of people are having problems w/ pumps & relays on 82's (there's another on that other forum which I think is not to be mentioned here)

Just replace it on my CE. It is in the compartment behind the drivers seat (battery box). It is between the ECM and the body wall. Little black box about 2" x 2"

dukman,

the 2x2" box is the ESC, that's what's mounted on the back of the ECM. The other smalle box is the EST. The relay is just like the hood door relay in the engine compartment (firewall), it's small black w/ 2 tabs on the side and the cap can be popped off to check the relay.

It looks very similat to this one:

It has 5 pinouts.

Thanks again for all of the responses. I found a fuse at the top of the fuse panel marked "FP" fuel pump, removed it, cleaned it (it was dirty), and put it back in and it started. I had bought a 82 Corvette service manual on Ebay a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. Great timing....:beer Ron
