I'm looking for any help/guidance on rebuilding or obtaining a rebuilt od unit for my '84. Current unit will not go in reverse (slips) or decelerate in normal (non-overdrive). When in overdrive, unit works ok. Shops here don't know where to find parts. Help!;help

WARNING,be carful in who rebuilds this.I had mine done last year and did alot of calling around before I chose someone.Everyone I had talked to said they are complicated but are mostly like a foreign car trans. There is a place called Darrells 4 speeds that rebuilds them but it might cost you alittle to have it shipped .I just did a quick search and couldnt find a website, but they are in hemmings all of the time.Good luck.:beer

Have you looked at wrench and scoket yet? It's right here in the fourm.

I'm in the process of doing just that, I bought a kit with hard and soft discs from a place in Orlando, 150.00, but hey are available at most trans parts houses, theseare not a retial type parts place, just tansmission parts...
