That P.B Blaster is good stuff. It worked great for me. I have completed my replacement of my manifold gaskets and now my car is completely oil leak free. This has been a problem with this car since 1984 and I finally resolved it. GM dealer replaced valve cover gaskets and front and rear seals in 1985 but the leak continued. I am a very happy Corvette driver now. This is a great place to get information and I hope I can help some other people with issues that I have experienced. My car have had many small issues. I am a perfectionist when it comes to this car and like everything to work right. I did not drive the car for years because it have so many little problems. I bougth the 1984 Corvette service manual , 1984 thru 1996 Haynes manual, and the Chilton 1984 thru 1996 manual. Next I began to repair each issue which include things such as:
Bose Radio problems installed Pioneer Stereo/CD, Idle problems changed throttle position sensor and 02 sensor, Oil leaks, Digital Dash problems replaced lights, Transmission leaks replaced seals, Paint fading repaint, carpet fading replaced, Clear coats flaking on wheels replaced with 84 chrome wheels, fuel pump replacement, A/C compressor replacement, All coolant hoses replaced, New one piece oil pan gasket, new valve cover gaskets, change to 5 year anti-freeze, new themostat, changed to full synethic Castrol 10w-40. The car has 93,000 miles on it and runs great. I am very proud of this car now and go to shows when ever I get a chance. It won second place for C4 84 thru 90 class at the Lone Star Corvette show at the Texas Motor Speedway last year and won 1st place this year and has taken many 1st place trophies at my car clubs show for the Cedar Hill Cruisers. Thanks again for the advice.
