1984 Power Side Mirrors repair

My mirrors, over a period of time, first acted erratic... and then stopped working all together. Any ideas? Has this happened to you and what did you do about it?

So then neither side now works? Did they quit at same time?
Without the troubleshooting guide in front of me I'd say it was switch/adjuster related since each side has its own motor.

They both did not stop at the same time... but both started developing problems together. Sometimes they both work, other times it would be one or the other. I suspect the console switch since I do not adjust the mirrors very often. Now they both are dead.
