1984 "Z51" Tire Size

While the 1984 came with 255 50 16YR tires, in reading the "Knowledge Base" and other information, it eludes to the "Z51 Performance PKG" as having a larger tire size than a 1984 Corvette without the Z51 Performance PKG".

Perhaps you could advise me if the tire size of the "Z51 Performance PKG", is it something different than the 255 50 16?

THX for the reply - I am running the original Goodyear Gatorbacks as well, 255 50 16's but I thought I read the Z51 Performance PKG offered a different size. But I am fixin to get some new skins, leaning towards the Falkens ZE502's.

Guess I mis-read the info.

Are you sure it dídn't say the Z51 had wider rear rims?

According to the information I have the tire size is the same, but the Z51 have wider rear rims.

THX for your reply and the URL, here is the official wheel size of the 1984 with the Z51 PKG:

1984 (z51)

front 16"x8.5" 32mm
rear 16"x9.5" 38mm
Goodyear Eagle VR50, P255/50VR-16

You are correct, the same tire size, but the rear wheels are 1" wider than the front wheels.
