Help! 1987 Corvette wheel bearings??

Hi,

New Vette owner... I have a factory service manual ordered, in the meantime all I have to rely on are a Haynes and a Chilton manual. Neither one say a thing about wheel bearing service other than removal and re-installation.

Are all the wheel bearings (front and rear) on the 1987 Corvette sealed and non-serviceable? No repacking wheel bearings??

Unfortunately they are sealed and not serviceable

87 wheel bearings

they are sealed. If you need to replace, don't use the cheap Chinese bearings, Mid America has GM replacements and the cheapies - don't fool with the imitations. The rears are a bit of a job ot replace but I did it in an afternoon. A 250+ lb capacity torque wrench is helpful.

They are a zero tollerance bearing too. No play in any direction.
