Help! 1990 convertible

Hello, Have a problem with the deck lid button under the lid itself, all other switches work. Also changed the switch itself and still will not work. any answers

Hatch switch

One side of the switch should show battery voltage, when the switch is pushed the cold side of the switch should show battery voltage. My guess is one side of the cicuit is "open". This test will show which. If it is an open, the most obvious place to look is where the harness bends when the hatch is opened and closed.
