Guess the time has come to let my 92 Vert go and begin a search for a C5. It's been a difficult decision to make but I think I want something different. I've had the car for over 8 years and it has been trouble free and a joy to drive. Here's the particulars:
1992 Corvette Convertible in Polo Green II Metallic, Beige Leather interior, and Beige cloth top with these factory options:
Automatic transmission
Driver and Passenger six-way power seats
Electronic Climate Control A/C system
FX3 Selective Ride Control system
BOSE Gold AM/FM Stereo Radio with both Cassette and CD.
Performance Rear Axle Ratio 2.73
Upgrades:
B&B TriFlo polished 3" stainless steel cat-back exhaust (great sound!!)
K&N reusable Air Filter
AFS Chrome ZR-1-style wheels (these are an early set that were made in the USA; the current versions are made in China)
OEM Removeable Hardtop in Polo Green (the car did not come with the RPO CC2 hardtop; I bought it a few years ago and had it painted.)
Custom painting /detailing in engine compartment
Other accessories included will be:
-HELLA headlamp housings and APC Xenon bulbs (90 watts low beam and 130 watts high beam. You WILL see the road at night!!)
-Wolf Evolution car cover
-Wolff 2-piece nose bra
-OEM front license plate filler in Polo Green
-Weather Boots plastic footwell inserts
-Hardtop cover and custom-made PVC storage carrier and pulley hoist
-All available documentation to include everything that came with the car when new, original window sticker, build sheet, Corvette Sales Brochure and VHS Video and all available repair and maintenance receipts.
The car currently has approximately 44,780 miles as of 7/6/05. All of the equipment on the car works fine with the exception of two lights in the radio display that are out. One still works fine and easily illuminates the radio frequency display. There are some very minor rock chips on the nose due to a few extended road trips.
The car has taken judged event show trophies and I have tried to keep the car in as good a condition as possible. I do perform my own light maintenance work such as oil changes (Mobil-1 5W-30 every 3000 miles or annually whichever is sooner and AC Delco Gold filters) and chassis lubrication. Pictures of the car will be provided on request by emailing me at c4cruiser@comcast.net
The asking price is $17,000 or best offer. If the hardtop is not wanted as part of the package, I will happy to discuss a lower price for the car.
EDIT: The car sold yesterday to a fellow club member. :cry But I know it has gone to a good home.
