Hi,
i have a 95 trans am and i want to trade up to a vette,i was lookin at a nice 93 but it says they only do a 14.0 in the quarter mile?? is that really true because my car now can do almost that

thanks james

With careful tuning and some drag radials, an LT-1 powered car should be able to easily crank out mid to low 13's. The trick is to have the "performance" axle ratio of 3/07 in the auto tranny car. If you go to 3.54 or better gears, you should expect high 12's.

I find 14.0 in the quarter mile to be on the high side.

I had a ‘93 six-speed and a ‘94 six-speed. My ‘94 and ‘93 behaved identically when applying full throttle.

Never ran the ‘93 in the 1/4 as it was a show car but I did run my ‘94 many times. The ‘94 being completely stock all but for a K&N would click of 13.6s @103-104 religiously. When I first started taking my ‘94 to the strip, my first runs were in the 14’s... only because I was getting to know the car.

I took my stock 94 (auto) to the track twice this year and ran mostly 13.80's.

Here was the best run:

60ft --- 2.163
1/8 ET --- 9.031
1/8 MPH --- 82.96
1/4 ET --- 13.799
1/4 MPH --- 100.81

My car has the performance axle ratio.
