1994 seat belt female end orientation

Which side should the button for the release of the seat belt be on for a 1994 Vette, the console side or person (driver/passenger) side. Both of mine are on the person side which I believe is backwards??

console side, have yet to see any seatbelt operate in any other manner, you are refering to the short stub side, or the side the physical button is on? right, should be away from the body.

The male's are on the door side, the females are on the console side buttons facing twds console ( for the factory belts )
