Help! 1998 A/C Issue

I have a 98 coupe and am experiencing an issue with my A/C - when I press the AC button the light on it flashes on for a few seconds then goes off. The A/C blower is working but no cold air is blowing out and I don't think the compressor is kicking in. A few weeks ago everything was working fine. Could it be a bad relay switch?

Could be low freon too. The compressor kicks off when freon is low. It's easy to check.

I agree that is the first thing to check.

The C5 is NOT your old car A/C system. It has to have the EXACT amount of Freon to work. Don't think some refrigerant in a can will give a correct fill. You might try that to see if it is the issue and then have a professional shop find the leak if you can't and then correctly fill the system.
