1999 White Roadster,
My 99 Vert is on the block and I’m going to order an 09 coupe this fall. I’ve decided to go with the A6 because of knee problems (arthritis). I’m undecided on the rear choice, stay with the 2.56 or go for the 2.73. The difference between the two is only .17 turn per revolution of the driveshaft. Has anyone driven both and is there a noticeable difference between them.

Thanks!:beer

Welcome to the CAC StoneCrusher,

I'm not sure if you would notice and difference in normal driving. BTW: I think you mean an "A6" transmission.

Good luck on the '09.

I dont think you'd notice much seat of the pants difference. Unless your into some type of competition, I'd go with the 2:56 for fuel mileage reasons. The gears in the A6 are very good (1st, 2nd, 3rd) so I dont see much advantage with the 2:73's.......:eyerole

I would agree with you!! :beer

I think you should get the 2.73 rear gear. I realize you mentioned otherwise but if it were me? I'd get the improved rollon performance of the optional gear ratio.

That improved rollon at highway speeds is FUN and thats what the corvette is all about...

Good luck deciding. (I bet the real world gas mileage will be identical too)
