HEY I GOT THIS 93 COUPE AND IT CAME WITH 2 TOPS. ONE GLASS AND THE OTHER PLASTIC. WHICH IS THE BETTER-PROS/CONS. R/S FRANK

They both serve a purpose - I like the glass top in the winter and the solid top in the summer. The clear roof allows in more sun which helps to warn the car. During the summer, the solid keeps the heat out better.

If you plan on autocrossing your car, use the solid roof for that. The glass tops have been known to crack especially if your helmet hits it.

Hope this helps.

TOPS SIMILAR

BOTH TOPS ARE TINTED.JUST THAT ONE IS TEMPERED GLASS AND THE OTHER PLASTIC. I THINK BOTH ARE GM PARTS.MAYBE ONE WAS A CHEAPER OPTION?

Sorry, I miss understood. I assumed that one was painted like the rest of the car and the other was transparent.

If you have 2 'transparent' tops or differents types, I'll defer to someone else here.

BTW, is your car a C2L car? Check the RPO sticker - under the console lid or under the rear compartment lid.

I would stick to glass, the plastic if not cleaned right will scratch bad.

OKY DOKE

ILL SEE IF ITS A CL2 CAR TOMORROW.UH BY THE BY--WHAT IS A CL2?

I think it mean that the car came with two tops one body color and one transp.

CC3 is a plastic roof panel.
CF7 is the removable roof panel (solid body color)
C2L is both of the above.

surry bot that

i write in caps cause i cant see the little letters good to see if i made a mistake in writing. hey i even print when filling out my logs in caps.ok will be a good boy now that i see somebody is watching r/s frank
