2000 C5 Right Side Headlight

I have a 2000 which i purchased used 2 years ago. I had a copy of the full service record which show that the right side (Passenger side) headlight motor had been replaced twice. Now I am having a problem with the right side headlight again, this time when the lights come on this side does not come up, I have to manual turn it up. Then when the lights go off it goes down normally and the next several times it works just fine. Then it will occur again and I go through the same process which wil last for a period of time before it re-occurs. Any ideas?

i had the same problem. it turned out to be the headlight control module. its located in the rt front wheel well on the back side of it in the front of the wheel well. sorry about the crapy location description. i bought a used one on ebay for 50$. new is like 300$. if you open the hood and get down and look in that area you cant miss it. it has two plugs in it, one for each lamp good luck and i hope this helps

I'm having the exact same problem with my 02Z. I ordered the replacement gear kit for both headlights(figure I need that done anyway), and am looking at the module now too.
