2003 Headlights on when switch is off

Hello,
When I turn the car on the lights automatically come on, even when the switch is set to off. When it's light outside the lights autmatically shut off and go down; is there a way to shut off the lights so they don't come on when you are first starting the vehicle in the dark or if it's dark outside and you just want to shut the lights off while the car is running? Not sure if all vette's do this or...just this one?

Look in your owner's manual under Twilight Centennial. This will direct you on how to set or unset this function.

Sounds like your 03 has the Twilight Sentinel on it. To disable that feature, push the "options" button on the right of your dash. The Twilight Sentinel should pop up as the first option you see in the Driver's Information Center. Press the reset button to switch it from "On" to "Off". If you decide to keep it on, you can also set a delay time to determine the amount of time they stay on after you shutdown.

I found owners manual online, really don't need to purchase one, and the programming to turn off the twilight sensor was simple...thank you!
