Where can I find teh manufacture date or whatever date they base the warranty service start date on? I have looked on the drivers door and all that is there is the tire pressure stickers.

Thanks

Look closely at the bottom sticker. The one that says Manufactured by General Motors Corp. Below that on the left, it says "Date" with a month and a year.

But... I don't think that is the date that the warranty starts. I think it is either the day you bought it, or the date it was first taken into service (if that was before you bought it). At least that's what my dealer indicated to me when I purchased the extended warranty.

They can probably check that for you at your dealer, based on your vin.

I'm pretty sure the warranty starts on the in service date, basically when the vehicle was new and sold for the first time.

Well I have looked again

Thanks,...butttt, buuttt (there is always a but)

There are two tire pressure labels on the door post edge and one auto-workrers Union label, neither has a date of any kind located on them

hmm, maybe your stickers are different from mine. Mine is an 02.

Here's a couple of shots of my stickers. Far away and close up. In the close up one, there is a flash hot spot right where the date is- but I swear, its there :L

Email me the last 8 digits of you VIN and I can look up the manufactured date and the date your warantees start. I just checked on my car and it was built 4/27/04. I had originally thought it was built earlier.

Thanks Kevin and Tammy

Kevin, I have sent you an e-mail and Tammy you are correct.

I never equated the tire pressure label as being the valid manufacture date. This might be due to the fact that I have had to get printers set up to put new labels on the door jams for tire pressures. Apparently there was a new law which went into effect the first of September requiring this for people who purchase new cars with a different tire option then the manufactured car came with.
