2004 for Sale

Hi

This vette is being sold by a member of my vette club and l feel it's a good deal and very realistic. I took the liberty to place it here because l have noticed that most people selling vettes are not being very realistic when putting a value on theirs.

I would be very surprised if it was still available but if it is, it would be worth a call.

By the way l do not know which member it is and l do not know the vette but if you are interested l would check it out for you.

I assume by hatchback you mean coupe? Because triple black means exterior, interior and conv. top are black. Please clear up because I have a friend interested in a triple black vert.

If you look at the site l listed it shows the car. It's a coupe.

But understand that l do not know the car nor the member by his phone number.

Most of the club memebers show their cars at shows.

I like the vert much better but the price is way out of line but again who knows what either one would settle for.

You are correct. $35,000 is good price for an 04 coupe with that mileage. The blue book retail price is $40,700. The private party sale value is $36,405 and the trade-in value is $32,325. He's placed it a little below the private party sale value to move it.

A convertible with the same mileage would have a retail price of $46,175 and a private party sale value of $41,845.

Blue Book ????????/

Forget the Blue Book because it is only a general guide used by a person who has no idea of the value of cars.

It does not take in consideration location, time of year, condition, mileage and if you are buying or selling.

It is a great book for a used car dealer because the price's are always very high.

If you take your car into a dealer to sell or trade in he will start to look at a small black book that is a regional and car specific and not over a month old with all of the options listed.
From this he will figure what he will get at his regional auction taking in the costs of preparing it and getting it there and paying a premium to sell it.

The 04 even though listed at $35,000 should wind up only costing $33,000 and that is a fair deal all the way around.
