I saw the notice earlier this week - scary! But I don't recall reading any threads here on the board from 2004 owners experiencing any issues with gas tanks.

I've heard of several over at one of the other forums. Many people had to have this fixed and the dealerships were charging an arm and a leg to fix it.

Gas Tank

Previous owner replaced leaky gas tank at 14,000 miles. Dealer charge of $1385. Apparently check engine light was on at the time too.

This is pretty typical of the results I've heard about.

No problems with mine either. With only 30 reports in 33,000 vehicles (barely 0.1% of all 2004 model year vehicles), this sounds like a very, VERY small batch of bad tanks...
