Corvette was born and came off the assembly line at Bowling Green Kentucky February 27 2006 at approximately 2:00PM. Corvette was specially ordered from Buff Whelan Chevrolet Sterling Heights Michigan and I'm the original owner.
Corvette is currently in storage with 14,006 miles. Corvette was ordered with every conceivable option but was built with high polished wheels.
At time of order, GM and supplier had dispute and chrome plated aluminum wheels were not available for several weeks. I knew about the problem and accepted the high polished wheels instead.
Corvette is Victory Red with Cobalt Red 3LT interior trim (Not to be confused by two tone RED/Black interior trim which was a different option condition)
These are some of the options on this Corvette: Preferred equipment group $4,795.00, Z51 performance package $1,695.00,
MZ6-TR6060 Tremec six speed HD transmission-Was No cost with Z51, AM/FM CD with navigation & XM radio $1,695. dual roof package $1,400.00, polished aluminum wheels $1,200.00, ONSTAR $695.00.
Corvette has had the flywheel replaced (Recall- Fly wheel improperly manufactured in Mexico) at the GM Tech Center in Warren Michigan (March 2006) under warranty (Z06 Fly wheels were replaced by Roush Interprises, Mi secretly) The Painted Polycarbonate lift off roof was replaced with new SMC lift off roof panel (Recall) Would not allow adhesive foam to be used to repair original roof on this VIN by any Chevrolet service center)
This Corvette has been used on weekends and to show at cruise nights here in Michigan. Corvette has never been in rain or inclement weather. The day Corvette was delivered from Bowling Green Kentucky to Buff Whelan Chevrolet was clear cold February day. I was at Buff Whelan Chevrolet when Corvette was driven off truck. This VIN was monitored by two Corvette Engineers during it's build.
Corvette is a BOB (Best of build) like all Corvettes built by UAW local 2164.
Original Cost of Corvette $55,970.00
Corvette is in impeccable condition. Corvette is absent of liens, scratches, paint chips, mars, water leaks, windnoise, paint work and is no hit body. Synthetic Mobil One & A/C filter has been changed every three months from ownership. The Dex Cool, and synthetic clutch fluid was changed last spring. The exterior paint/interior leather/vinyl trim has been highly finessed with Mequiars premium car products (#26 yellow paste wax is on the exterior paint)

Reason for selling: Buying Model 1YX07 (New Z51 Hatchback Coupe) This 2006 Corvette is the best of the best.
Only modification is the dual K&N air filters.
