Does anyone know how a dealer is allocated a Z06? ie is it the amount of cars they sell? And when will a dealer find out if they will get a Z06 or Not ?

It is based on how many cars they sell. The more they sell, the more they get. GM sends the dealer an official allocation letter for Z06's. They should already have their 'first half' allocation letter listing the number they have allocated during each month until December. The dealer I ordered my Z06 from had an allocation of ONE in July. Fortunately for me, I called them the day they received the letter! :Twist

Welcome to the :CAC to you both. :w

I believe Corvette allocation is based on how many Corvettes the dealership sold previously. Sell more Vettes=get more.

:upthumbs There you have it!! Right on Zippo.!!

I am getting ready to order my 2007 Z06 as well. The dealer called me last night and said that blue is not going to be available. Anyone else heard this?

That's what I had thought as well. That kinda sucks because if they won't allocate more to you, how can you sell more?

One way a Dealer can obtain more the following year is to purchase more from other Dealers in the current build year...then GM picks up on that transaction, which in turn gives that Dealer possibly another allocation the next year....

if GM has extra "trailblazers" and they call and say how many do you want. you say you do not need any you get no extra corvettes or Z0-6s. my wife was in the business for 15 years and this is how it works you want the hot sellers you must also take the dogs

I have one ordered on a July allocation in Le Mans Blue. As far as I know, the only color no longer available is Daytona Sunset Orange. Unless this is a really recent development, you should be able to get blue. Is your dealer actually ordering the Z06 or is he looking around for one?

My dealer is ordering mine based on a late July/early August allocation. They didn't get a Z06 last year so the GM rep (I actually met and talked with him) told us that their first 2007 would be a Z06. The dealer just got their Z06 pricing Monday (nice increase huh?), so I told him to price a fully loaded Lemans Blue car. He said that all the other 2007 brochure colors were available, but that when he tried to build a blue car, it kicked it out as "color not available". He is looking into it. Keep me posted as your car progresses; if your order is accepted by the factory and you are assigned a build date, etc. then I'm sure it's just an error of some sort. It would be good for me to know as blue was my first choice.

Thanks,
Ryan

Lemans Blue may be on constraint for the "TPW" target production week that yours is set to be built.

HI there,
I feel they should more be allocating based on CUSTOMER SERVICE SATISFACTION.
Anyone can sell a car, Corvette or otherwise.
Why is it that NOONE DEMANDS that if you can sell them, you MUST be able to serve the car well also??????
Pathetic, one of my biggest peeves in this industry.
Im stepping down off my box now.

That is how Lexus does it. Not surprisingly, their dealerships have the best service as a result.

Does any one know what the interior will look like for the 07 Z06. I plan on ordering blue & blk int but as a second choice black w/red int.

Simply go to www.gm.com that link there should be links forwarding you to the differing color combo's for the '07 Z06...

Good luck!

Try Kerback Corvette--they get more than anyone else, I think. Not sure what their markup is.

C4/5 Specialist makes a good point. I 2nd the motion. :BOW

I agree with C4/C5 specialist and Zippy--I 3rd the motion, but...
the manufacturer is selling cars and anything else takes second place.
