The original stock tires now resemble slicks and I've got 12700 miles on them. Any recommendation on a tire which will last longer? Thanks in advance.

Tires

I'll jump in as I'm about to replace my second set.

At about 100 miles I decided that I really didn't like the runflats and changed them out with Michellin PS2s.

I now have close to 30,000 miles on them and will do another set for street driving.

I put on 275/35/18s front and stepped up to 345/30/19 rear. They fit the stock wheels and wheel wells with no problems.

The OEM tires were noisy and the sidewalls were stiff and rough riding all of which the PS2s are not as bad. From prior experience, these tires provide a much more pleasant experience and I can't believe the life I have gotten. As these tires have lots of miles on them, rear wheel traction is getting marginal even though the wear bars still are showing a few miles of life left.

Cost is not that much greater than OEMs and have proven to be superior for aggressive driving/and ride comfort.

Yea, I know that everyone has their favorite tires, brake pads and etc.. All I'm saying is that I've had a more pleasant and safer car than what GM delivered.

Hi Bill - Thanks for your reply. As there is no room for a spare in the Z06, does not having a spare [or run flats] a concern? I travel a few times a year by myself and hubby worries.

Found these Michelin links - are these what you have and like?

Tires

Yes you have the tires on the links that I have.

I do a lot of long distance driving from time to time and I have 2 solutions that I use. Flat repair in a can, which I have carried in about 5 cars now without ever using it. And the other is a Triple AAA card, which I used with a motorcycle 10 years ago.

If you are concerned about run flats, get them, they just have a lot stiffer sidewall, which impacts comfort.
