2008 Crystal Red Metallic Corvette Coupe
My Name is Neil, but my license plate "BLUURRR" is my user name.

It took me 44 years to do it. I always wanted to own a Corvette but it was not supposed to be until the kids left home and finished college. Then the employee pricing came along...and I could not pass that up. and so I got one. I had never even been in a Corvette or test drove one...until the minute I drove my new 2008 Coupe home off the dealer's lot. That was last September.

Happy days indeed did follow. I still peek into the garage and feel a bit unworthy to have such a fine vehicle. It is the car of my dreams and it has lived up to it too.

To anyone who is contemplating a new C6...just do it...you'll never regret having the experience of enjoying a fine piece of engineering and machinery...a Corvette.:W:J:_rock

:welcome

I waited until I was 41 to get my first Vette. Shortly afterward when people asked about it, I said it was a mistake - the mistake being:

NOT BUYING ONE SOONER!!!

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center and congrats on your first!

Thanks. Can anyone tell me how I can add a picture of my vette to appear every time I post?

Welcome to the CAC, owning a corvette after 44 years is still is owning a corvette, just a little later in life. I've been fortunate in owning corvettes since I was 20, or 49 years ago. Love them, especially when they are RED. Have a 2008 convertible, victory red, and it is the best corvette I've ever owned, followed closely by my 2002 torch red coupe. They are terrific automobiles and it is a pleasure to drive eithe one. My wife loves them too, so I am twice lucky. Again, welcome to the CAC.

Thanks Barrett. I'm a long admirer of the Vette. I'm glad I was able to get in the game when the Corvette is the best ever.

Can you tell me how I can post my Corvette picture that will go along every time I post?

Yeah, I know. It's probably the only thing I've given myself. Everything else goes to the wife and family. :Steer
