Thanks for viewing this thread and thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Corvette had not been driven and battery had gone dead. Had it jumped started ok. Drove great.

Parked car on errand came back would not start.

Lower dash lock symbol is lit. No fob detected indicator also on.

thinking it is battery got a jump.

after many hours of no start. Put car in neutral and it started. Now only starts in neutral and have to use emergency brake because it will roll in park.

what is this problem?

HI there,

Honestly, it could be a few things.

You might have a BCM that went bad when it was jump started or there could be other issues.

As far as the park to neutral thing, I can only say that it MAY be the internal switch for the transmission position. BUT, the fact that you had the security lock light on and no fob detected message, Im thinking battery as well for starters.

Allthebest, Paul

If the battery is the original one, then it's time for a new one. Paul is right about the BCM-jump starts will get it sooner, not later.
