Have them take a new sensor, put it into another Vette, program it,
then put it into your car and try to re-program it. If it works, it's just
a work around for some other problem that needs to be addressed,
but you will have a drivable car until you can figure out what the root
cause of the problem is.........

And.........if that doesn't work, more troubleshooting is in order. If you're
gonna go that route, I would strongly recommend getting the GM shop
manual(s) for your specific year and use that to get to the problem.
