Question: 2015 C7 Z51 rear crossmember

I have a black plastic bracket, attached at the centerline, to the bottom of the rear most cross member that is visible from behind the car, and I cannot find it shown in any photos, and do not see it in other cars; any idea what it is?

Was at an autocross event last weekend, and in that small sample of C7's including Z51 and Z06 cars, I did not see any other's with this mystery part; also in looking a photos going back to the launch of the C7 (of the chassis), did not see any.

Not a big deal, but buddy noticed it from behind as we were traveling together.....

I'm gonna guess it's some kind of deflector related to airflow under the back of the car. I'll bet it's something that has been added to the car in a recent MY and is not on all going back to MY14.

Or...maybe it's something put on the back of all Corvettes sold to retire GM guys.
