2020 C8 Corvette Utilizes Revolutionary Carbon Fiber Bumper Beam

When the 2020 C8 Corvette was revealed to the public in Tustin, California last month, Corvette engineers told the audience that only one single part was carried over from the C7 Corvette generation, but it wasn't that generation's bumper.

Thanks to Shape Corporation's innovative technology, the 2020 Corvette utilizes a special curved carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer rear bumper beam, which Chevrolet called an “industry-first.”
