If you’re looking for a car show around Lansing this weekend, the 2026 Shaheen Chevrolet Charity Car Show is Sunday, September 20 at Shaheen Chevrolet.
I’ve been involved with this show in one way or another since the first one in 2017, and Capital City Corvette Club has been part of it from the beginning. It’s an all-makes show, so while we always have plenty of Corvettes, you’ll also see Camaros, Mopars, hot rods, customs, lowriders and just about anything else somebody is proud enough to bring out.
This year, 100% of the proceeds benefit No Senior Without Christmas.
Sunday, September 20, 2026
Shaheen Chevrolet – 632 American Road, Lansing, MI
Gates open: 9:00 AM
Show: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Display vehicles: $20 cash at the gate
Spectators: FREE
Rain or shine
There are 65 awards this year, including Top 50 and Best in Show, with championship-style rings going to the Top 5. There will also be food vendors, hourly prizes, a 60-inch Smart TV giveaway and quite a few community organizations on hand.
I recently sat down with Ralph Shaheen for Governor’s Garage to talk about how the show got started, the relationship with Capital City Corvette Club, this year’s charity, and what goes into putting the event together.
