I just discovered that what I thought was a BB radiator is in fact an LT-1/L-46(350-350)radiator. A 454 radiator is 27 inches and this one is 26. Is this large enough to cool a 454?

Or am I screwed again and have to spring for a BB radiator support and a new radiator?

Thanks

Trying to guess whether it will cool a 454 is a tough one. IMO if the car has A-C it will be OK if the temps stay below 90F. If it does not have A-C - it should be ok for a few years. If it gives you grief - consider an electric fan.

Len,

I too cannot say for sure, but I'm purchasing the rad/dual fan combo for my new ZZ-502.

The 1966-68 core is only 23.5".

I agree with 67 heaven - put in all the radiator that you can get. I installed a Dewitt aluminum BB 2 row 1 inch tube radiator last spring, but hsad trouble going up mountain at 85mph on 90F- 100F days with A-C running in WY and MT. Dewitt swapped it (and some$) for a Griffin with 1.25 tubes. If it's 100F in the mountains this summer I should be OK. I'll post results when the A-C car gets to the mountains.

Get this - my BB is home in a bag. The A-C heats a BB radiator with a vanilla 350 in the car.
