Annette's Wild new Ride

Former Pro Street champion Annette “Pink” Summer will be testing this radical turbocharged 63 Corvette in the very near future. The monster Vette, built by Vanishing Point Race Cars, gets its motivation from a 600-inch big block bullet from the shop of California turbo guru Kenny Duttweiler.

Plumbed with twin 101-mm hairdryers and equipped with heavy-duty everything, the no-holds-barred beast will see duty in Outlaw Pro Mod competition, as well as in match and exhibition appearances next season. In addition, since the car is legal for IHRA Top Sportsman competition, expect to see it at select national events in that capacity.

Performance expectations are a closely guarded secret at this point, but the numbers will blow a lot of minds, according to those close to the project.

The physics doesn't work out that way. It would be like saying that if we rev the thing in neutral we'll suck enough air in the front to lower the presure enough to get the thing to move from the vacuum. Even a jet engine relies on burning the fuel to create higher pressure out the tail pipe.

Looking at the right v.s. the left side of the car it looks like it's torquing over from the power of the burnout to heat the tires.

No matter what it is an impressive amount of power.

you all got it wrong. wheel hop, such as this, occurs when there is not enough power to get the car on top of the tire. this means from the fat non moving tire to 6,000+ rpm. the tire will balloon and in that transistion the car will either bite because the tire transisitions fast enough or it won't and if it won't you get severe wheel hop. look at some Top Fuel Funny Car pics and you'll see all day light under the tires in the same fashion. i've seen our Top Alcohol Car do the same thing.
