4+3 1st & 2nd gears problem

Wasup everybody;

I am kinda new to the corvette world and I just love my 85. Never driven anything like the Vette. Anyways, my problem is this;
#1 - I was driving the other day and came to a red light and stopped. Now when the light turned green and I went to put it into first gear, nothing, second gear, nothing, but it goes into 3rd, 4th, and reverse. The stick has free movement, like something just came apart. Can anybody help?

#2 - I recently (before #1) changed the trannyfluid used the recomended by the hannes book and the transmission now wines through all the gears and when I engage the overdrive it stops. Can I get some help there too!!!

The 4+3 shifter uses linkages. Sounds like they are in need of some adjustments.

Not the linkage

Today put the up and took the center console apart to look at the linkage, and guess what? NOTHING WRONG THERE!! ad

Got under the car and it is something internal.

Can anyone help? :confused

I have a trans without the OD unit if you need the front section

I would unhook the linkage rod from the tranny and work the gears by the shift lever on the side of the tranny where that rod was hooked . See if you can feel it shifting . You may have a broken shift fork . Cliff

DkBG any idea where I could find a shift fork? GM maybe?

Anyone from the Santa Clara, Ca. area ever heard of a shop called "corvette center"? Are they any good?
