I have a line on a Muncie 4 speed and was wondering how hard and what is involved in upgrading my '69 from a Turbo 400 to the 4 speed. I really miss driving a manual......

blaster, read past posts by those converting from the Muncie to others with an OD. Unless you have a special reason for the Muncie, better to look at those with the over drive option. They will run you around $3,000.

I know the benefits of going with an overdrive like a 5 or 6 speed. But I also know the price as you say around $3K. I was thinking of the muncie only becuase of the value. Is it worth it or should I save the pennies for a 6 speed. (dreaming)

blaster, I'd leave the 4 speed as a dream. You might consider installing a manual valve body and rachet shifter to your TH400. This will give you gear control at a significant savings with an easy undo if you get tired of shifting. If the muncie is a steal, maybe you can make a buck on ebay.
