It's the 40th Anniversary Edition, and it's an option package available on all 1993 Corvette models

All 40thAnniversary Edition Corvettes (and only 40th Anniversary Edition Corvettes)will be Ruby Red inside and out.

I guess this makes all the non Ruby cars 40th year cars but not 40th Anniversary Edition cars.:D

Subtle, but a distinct difference. Sounds like one can own a 40th Anniversay Corvette or a 40th Anniversary Edition Corvette. ;)

Yup, GM did the same thing in '78 for the 25th anniversary cars. All the '78 'Vettes had 25th anniversary badges, but only the ones ordered with the anniversary package were Silver anniversary editions.

Aniversary models don't apply to Corvettes either.

Like the Silver Aniversary Corvette, Fender Gutars had an aniversary strat edition. It too was silver, but all other guitars made that same year were not aniversary models only the silver was.

Got my Ruby Red Coupe in September and lovin' it.

I purchased my 93 Ruby Red Aniversary Corvette on 9-9-2011, and entered it in an auto show ten days later at Cabela's in WVa. It won third place in the 1990 to 1999 catagory over all cars made in those years. What a surprise that was to me. Now almost two months later I am about to put it away for the Winter, but need a day to clean it up properly.

Congrats on placing in a show with your new-to-you Ruby 93. The 93 Ruby is one of my personal favorites and in my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful Corvettes ever produced. :thumb

I always get compliments on the car especially the color, people love the color. Enjoy the new ride, a ton of fun. Don't be afraid to use it like a Corvette however...mine gets dirty on occasion.

After auto-x and during. Sees some drag strip action too...plus car shows. Lots of work but too much fun not too.
