I'm about in the middle of a swap. I have the 454 engine ready to go. Just waiting on some warmer air. The motor mounts should line up, after all they did put BB's in at the factory. You'll probably want to eventually change the front coils & radiator to BB's. Pulley's are expensive especially the 3 groove water pump pulley. don't know about some of the 5-6sp trannies, so I'm sticking to a Muncie. Should plop right in!

I'm hoping.

sofast4u,
I've already completed the swap on my 77. There was no problem with the mounts or anything. I changed my transmission at the same time. I went to a 700r4. Back to the engine. The swap went well. The only issues were the costly bracketry. All of the brackets are not totally compatable. The engine is def the easiest.
I did change out my springs. I had already upgraded my radiator Headers were not as tight as I thought it would be. I can get a pic online for you.
I know that I didn't say much but if you have detailed questions you can call and I'll do the best to answer them.
