I need help with some clarification here,

I see post which have 50th 2003 AE on them, now I have a 2003 Z06 which is also an 50th AE, both are Corvette’s so to be correct should I say 2003 Z06 AE?

Actually I am just being a bit “tongue –in-cheek” here, but I learned today there are some forums set up only for the 50th anniversary Corvettes, so would the 2003 Z06 also be a 50th AE?

Although the 2003 Z06's have the 50th anniversary badging on the hood and rear deck lid, there was not a specific 50th AE Z06. The official Chevrolet 50th Anniversary Edition Corvette had a special burgundy metallic color to it with a neutral shale interior, and it was only available on specially ordered coupes and convertibles.

I'm not sure if the CAC's model center has a picture of a 20th AE Coupe or Convertible, but you'd immediately note the color as distinctive. The Z06, even the 2003 Z06, was not available in that color, thus, there is no official "50th Anniversary Edition" Z06.

While all 2003's are 50th anniversary cars, only those with the "1SC" RPO for "Anniversary Edition package" are true AE's.

1SC cars included the extra 50th badging on the front fenders, the anniversary red metallic paint, the 2-tone shale interior, gold tinted wheels, and magnetic ride control. The 1SC option was not available on the Z06 that year.

Check out www.50thregistry.com for complete information on 50th AE's.
