None yet, but working on it.
Hi all.

I hope you don't find this too lame, but I'm working on a 1:25 model of a '53 and I'm in need of some reference pictures. I've seen your gallery and those are some great shots of the interior and engine compartment, they'll be a great help.

However, I'm having some difficulty finding pics of how the stock underside should look. I've done some google searching, among other things, but I find either project cars (that aren't painted) or customs (why someone would do that to a '53 I'll never understand).

I'm looking for underside chassis pictures as well as what the bottom of the engine and surrounding area should look like.

Anyway, I want to get this model as close to the real thing as possible so I thought this may be a good place to ask.

Thanks for your time.

Dean J.

Can I assume you're doing this as a commercial project, ie, to produce models to sell?

Your best bet may be the following:

"Corvette American Legend, The beginning, Vol 1 - 1953" by Noland Adams (about $35)

"Corvette Technical and Restoration Guide, Vol 1" by Noland Adams (about $70)

Chevrolet's "ST-12" Corvette Servicing Guide shop manual (about $30)

Pictures of the entire bottom of the car are going to be hard to find, even in those books.

Some are available from NCRS:

http://www.ncrs.org/store/shop.cgi/page=C1.Library.htm/SID=1065080162.21581

You might also be able to find them by searching the books section of Amazon.com

Good luck.
