61 clock disassemble

Trying to disassemble my clock but can't get the time set knob off the shaft. I believe this needs to be done before you can go any further. I am assuming the knob is threaded to the shaft, does anyone know if this is correct? Any advise appreciated.

Look for a set screw on the stem

Thanks very much for the reply Ken. I just got it off. On the clock I have the knob was threaded onto the shaft and it was plenty tight. Used a small vice grip to hold the shaft and and a pair of pliers on the knob. Must be my lucky day as I didn't break or damage anything.
