The Do It Yourself Network (Classic Car Restoration program) is running a 9 episode series on restoration of a 62 Corvette. Unfortunately, several episodes have already aired. There are 2 episodes scheduled yet for tonight at 11:30 and midnight.

A complete list of episodes (series 200) and a detailed description of their content can be found on their website at

Thanks for sharing,I went to there web site and my cooky handler and pop up blocker was going crazy so I closed it.I am not sure if they are re running a show from 2 years ago or if its a new car. Its fun to watch with the understanding theyre not doing an NCRS car.

This series has run several times on DIY. The host Mark Lambert isn't really a Corvette guru, and the car they are restoring isn't anywhere near stock never mind NCRS. The scarry part about this project is that the X member was removed from the frame and not replaced with anything substantial except a crossmember to hold up the tranny. If this car got broad sided it would probably break in two. If you watch the episodes on installing the exhaust system you will see what I am talking about. The show does offer some very good general information but not very good Corvette information. There are several guys on this forum much more qualified to do a show like this. :)

Larry, I've been meaning to take some more photos but I was going to wait till I got the rechromed bumpers on. My chrome still ain't back yet.

I enjoy watching this series. It has already been on once or twice. The host is occasionally very knowledgeable, and I am sometimes surprised at things he does not know. They really tend to be selective about what they restore. Never any rust or major mechanical issues. They had a 63 T'bird and an old Packard that they pretty much blew off the dust and they were done.

The vette was a little more extensive, but I think even on a driver I would have done a little more work to get the underhood closer to stock.

200 channels of cable is great though. It makes shows like this possible. Remember what the TV choices were when our cars were built? Who could have imagined Friday nights where there are 2-5 "gearhead" shows on at the same time back then?
