Hey guys wondering if anyone could send me some detailed pics of any 63 engine compartments, or where to find some. Trying to get my car back to original or at least original looking. purchased a clamp kit and tie strap kit and unsure as to where the different clamps go along with the straps. Also the vacume hoses just dont look right to me. My car is a 250bhsp powerglide with power brakes and steering. Any help would be greatly appreciated, glad to have recently found this site Chris

hey thanks that helps me out some. Sure is a nice looking motor.

If you let me know what area you'd like photographed I can take some pictures later tonight.

Mostly the the vacume lines, and the routing of the wiring harness, and where the tie straps go. Thanks for any help

cdr63corv,

Here's some pictures of a 300HP, 4 speed, Power Steering with Standard Brake engine compartment.
If you want bigger pictures I can send them to you via a seperate e-mail.
Having a copy of Noland Adams Complete Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide - Vol. 2 1963 Through 1967 would be a big help. They are out of print and there's a waiting list on Amazon for used copies but they sometimes come up on Ebay.

Another view.

Sorry about the size and resolution but the 65k file size restriction makes it impossible to post without modifying the file size.

Very NICE car

Is this your ride Impalla?

Vig~

Vig,

Yea, but.............

I've had it about a month and won't drive it because of all the salt on the roads here. It was delivered in a trailer and it'll sit in the garage until there's been a heavy rain.

When is your car supposed to be delivered? Once it arrives you can count on me to try and help with pictures and reference books.

Eugene

Thanks

One SWEEEEEEET ride..

I'm still waiting for title work from the seller.
At this time, looks like late March early April.

Thank YOU for the kind offer.

hey thanks impala appreciate the help, sure looks like a nice car. Now if I can get those goofy hose clamps on without losing my mind, seems every time I just about have it they slip off to one side, course im sure theres probably a better tool than what I have. No wonder all that was gone what a pain anyway thanks again.

Excellent !!!! engine compartment,I love to look at that kind of work. Its all in the details VERY VERY impressive who ever did the work should be commened.

As for the hose clamps the correct tool to install them is very affordable.I purchased mine from a jobber tool truck Less then 20.00 (the kind you allways see at the repair shops) I exspained what I needed he pulled one off the wall and it makes it real easey to work with.Prior to owning the proper tool I would use channel lok pliers held sideways (the slip joint style the plummers use)

IH2LOSE,

Thanks. The rest of the car is/was restored to an equal level of quality a number of years ago. Subsequent owners left their mark and now I'll be working on undoing what they've done. It's all little stuff - the wife said to buy a car that's drivable and sell the one you've been wrenching on. Now she said I can keep both. Life is very good.

Beutiful car Eugene. Very nice detail. I used to get into Sussex quite often several years ago. I think that is where the Quad Graphics printing plant is.

Tom

Hello Tom,

Quad is still here and had been expanding. The last year has been a struggle for them as a new plant burned down and the owner passed away.
If you ever come back to visit let me know, maybe we can meet up.

Noland's books (both volumes) had another printing about 8 months ago, and are available again from the Corvette resto houses, major booksellers, and from Noland himself (nolandadams@d-web.com) - he'll autograph it with any message you want for free, and his price (including shipping) is about $12.00 less than any of the catalogs.
