Been working on the body since March, finally finished the frame and body and going to primer/sealer TODAY :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

So I thought you would like to see the final body work photos...

First one is the car as it waits its fait for primer...

The next photo shows the front of the car, notice the STRAIGHT line, replaced the buckets with the correct fiberglass buckets, worked real hard to get the correct alighment,,,

Here is another overhead shot...again worked hard to get the buckets aligned correctly...

If you have been following my posts, then you know I had to replace the drivers door. The door was badly damaged and to far gone to try to fix. I found a new OLD door. Again hours and hours to align the door and make it fit. Found damage on the latch area and even on the front support post, even the door hinges were homemade. All corrected and we are VERY VERY happy with the fit and function of the door...

Next is the view from front to back passenger side. Every panel on the car was replaced or reworked.. Due to frame damage (that was fixed) the panels NEVER aligned correctly, NOW...see for yourself....

Finally, both rear quarter panels needed to be replaced...again very pleased with results...

My advice...take your time, watch for the small details and work on them. Don't rush it....you will always find something if you look hard enough. I probably have over restored this car, but I beleive to over restore is the way Chevrolet wanted these cars to be, but couldn't do it.

Moved into the paint booth this afternoon, starting the cleaning and prep process....then the primer will flow..I will keep all informed..

We are VERY Happy with the results.

Looks great. Nice fit all around. Great photos. Good luck with the prime & paint. Keep us posted with more pics of your progress.

Are they going to prime the jambs and edges with the car together? Also are they going to paint the car apart or together?Just wondering.

It will be all apart, and will do it piece by piece....

Looks great. Fantastic pics. What is colour selection are you going with for finish coats? Patience always pays off. You will really appreciate your extra time and effort put in when the finish coats are done. Please keep us posted as you go.
