I am looking at a 63 coupe and do not know how to decode the trim tag. Does any body knows this information or where I can find it?
Thank You.
Bob

The trim tag had the following information and format.

F2
63 837 4641
BLK 900A

Pretty sure about this, so here goes:
F2= 6th month of production.....second day They started 63 production in September of 62, so F=February. Don't have my manual handy, but it is POSSIBLE I'm having a brain cramp, and 2 might equal the second WEEK, not the second DAY of production.

837=coupe (867=roadster)
4641 = the 4641'st. body built in St. Louis (no AO Smith bodies in 63)

Blk= Black standard interior (vinyl)
900A = Tuxedo Black

Hope this helps. Chuck

In the F2 number 2 means second day of the month.

1963 Only, the 2 in F2 is the week of the month. Starting in 1964 it changed to the day of the month. (Noland Adams, The Complete Corvette Restoration and Technical Guide - Vol 2, page 48)
