Has anyone replaced their gas door emblem on a 64? I see they are available for about 36.00, but it looks like you have to drill rivets to get it apart??:confused

Any info welcome:w

gas door emblem

I replaced the gas door emblem on my 65. The instructions come with the replacement parts. You will have to drill the rivet heads to remove the back plate. Then you will drill and tap so that you can re-assemble using screws. If you are looking for an NCRS restoration you will need to make the screw heads look like rivets. The process is almost the same as replacing the aluminum panel in the glove box door.

Hope this helps!
